|
|
The Sanger Institute has sequenced the 410 kb genome of Emiliania huxleyi virus 86 in collaboration with Dr. Declan Schroeder of The Marine Biological Association, Plymouth, UK, and Dr. William Wilson of The Plymouth Marine Laboratory, UK. EhV86 is a double stranded DNA virus that infects a marine phytoplankton host (Emiliania huxleyi). The host itself forms massive blooms in oceanic waters. The sequence is finished The sequence is finished and contains 407,339 bp with a G+C content of 41.1%, and 472 predicted CDSs. The sequence is available for searching using our BLAST server (see links below), or for download from our FTP site). For more information, please visit the project page at the Sanger Institute. Please address all enquiries to Matt Holden (mh3@sanger.ac.uk).
