Please note: We are experiencing problems with downloading Boolean search results. Additonally, the number of annotations reported to GO terms displayed on the gene page and as returned by Boolean searches is incorrect. We are working to fix these problems.

This database contains all S. pombe (fission yeast) known and predicted protein coding genes, pseudogenes, transposons, tRNAs, rRNAs, snRNAs, snoRNAs and other known and predicted non-coding RNAs. Curation of new and existing literature is ongoing and changes are incorporated weekly.

Global sequence and chip study examines eukaryotic transcription
Dynamic repertoire of the fission yeast transcriptome reveals: 94% of the genome is transcribed; extensive variation in different stages and conditions; global and condition-specific coupling between splicing efficiency and transcription; confirms the majority of introns; refines ~75 gene structures; identifies 453 new transcripts 26 of which were predicted to code for proteins.
